READY OR NOT 2: HERE I COME – Directing Duo Radio Silence, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Kathryn Newton Tease the Sequel
The directors behind Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, took to the stage to introduce the highly anticipated sequel, thanking audiences for their continued support of the original film.
The Fan Carpet’s Francesca Cabouco was in attendance alongside Raj Virdi, joined by Jonathan Hughes of The Killer Spotlight, with the team soaking up the atmosphere and buzz surrounding the highly anticipated sequel.
Reflecting on the journey from the first movie to the sequel, the filmmaking duo admitted that a follow-up wasn’t always guaranteed, but when the opportunity arose, they were quick to embrace it.
Their enthusiasm was clear as they acknowledged the audience, noting that it was the success and support of fans that made the sequel possible in the first place.

The event also featured appearances from cast members including Sarah Michelle Gellar and Kathryn Newton, with the latter teasing her character’s chaotic presence within the film’s universe. “She brings the madness… I’m there to support our beloved Grace and really cause some problems just by existing.”
Samara Weaving, who leads the franchise, was unable to attend due to pregnancy, though her presence was still very much felt throughout the discussion.
Sarah Michelle Gellar praised the directors for their distinctive approach to storytelling, highlighting their ability to blend genres seamlessly “It’s not horror, it’s horror, drama, comedy… it’s something only they can do.”

This genre-blending approach remains central to the sequel, with the directors aiming to deliver a cinematic experience that offers something for every audience member.
As the introduction wrapped up, audiences were encouraged to fully immerse themselves in the film — to laugh, scream, and enjoy the ride — setting the tone for what promises to be another wild and unpredictable chapter in the Ready or Not universe.
